Children in Hospital (CIH) is a national charity that works to create a positive hospital experience for children and their families. We support families through 400+ community volunteers who facilitate play across 15 hospitals and provide play materials to 23 paediatric units in Ireland. CIH also provides a family support information service and advocates to ensure all children and families have access to the supports and services they need, before, during and after hospitalisation.
For the over 8,000 families in Ireland with a child with a life-limiting condition, dealing with transport, tolls, parking and logistics should be the last thing on their mind. With all major children’s health facilities concentrated in Dublin, transportation can be the defining barrier for Ireland’s youngest patients, leaving children without access to their healthcare and parents with the unnecessary stress of logistics.
BUMBLEance is Ireland’s only dedicated Children’s Ambulance Service. Our charity makes a difference by empowering the thousands of families unable to access their child’s healthcare by providing journeys in a safe, caring and fun environment, completely free of charge.

Talk Active is a Surrey-based charity supporting children and young people aged 6+ with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN), as well as those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Our mission is to help children build communication, confidence and meaningful friendships through inclusive, community-focused activities.
We understand that many children with communication difficulties can struggle to find environments where they feel fully understood, included and able to be themselves. Talk Active was created to help bridge this gap by providing opportunities for children and young people to connect with others, develop confidence and feel part of a supportive community.
